About Us

At the Community Foundation, we’ll help you establish an easy, efficient and result-oriented way to give.

The Community Foundation of the Verdugos provides philanthropic leadership for your charitable desires and financial resources to support issues in the community that matter to you.

While our donors range in diversity and wealth, they share the same goal — to make a significant impact, whether it is through creating a fund, giving to a fund via a one-time donation, or inquiring about our unique grants and scholarships.

Annual Report

As part of the Community Foundation of the Verdugos’ commitment toward transparency and accountability to those we serve, the yearly Annual Report provides a snapshot of the activities that have taken place during a previous calendar year. From donations and types of funds managed, to grants and scholarships issued, or investment growth, we provide this document so that readers can be inspired by what our community has done together—to communicate the important impact that a community foundation can provide to residents, nonprofits, and businesses alike.

Accordingly, we make our informational federal tax filings and 501(c)(3) tax-exempt Internal Revenue Service letters available to the public. The Foundation’s Investment Committee meets quarterly with investment management consultant Jeffrey C. Peter of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in Glendale, CA.

Please contact our office at (818) 241-8040 or e-mail us at info@cfverdugos.org to request the following:

  • Fund information, including fee structures
  • Copies of our most recent IRS Form 990 filings (includes IRS Form 990-T, which the Foundation does not currently file, however can make available should it be a necessity)
