Community Foundation Awards 2026 Scholarships, Introduces Biermann Scholarship
Thanks to the generosity of donors and scholarship fund partners, the Community Foundation of the Verdugos is proud to award 2026 scholarships totaling over $211,000. The 2026 scholarship cycle also marks the inaugural award of the Biermann Scholarship, expanding scholarship opportunities for students attending Crescenta Valley High School.
The Community Foundation of the Verdugos Awards 2026 Scholarships and Introduces the New Biermann Scholarship
We are excited to introduce the Ken Biermann Memorial Scholarship, a new award issued in 2026 for Crescenta Valley High School (CVHS) students who demonstrate achievement dedication, perseverance, and academic promise. This year’s inaugural award went to Torin Blunt and in keeping with Mr. Biermann’s connection to CVHS and education, it is hoped the scholarship will provide continued encouragement for Torin’s educational and career goals.
Established in January 2023 through the generosity of friends and community, as well as Mr. Biermann’s golfing buddies at the Chevy Chase Country Club, the Biermann Scholarship honors his lifetime of service to the Foothill communities. A respected educator, coach, community leader, and volunteer, Mr. Biermann dedicated his career to helping young people succeed, strengthening the community he loved. Many thanks to all who donated to the Ken Biermann Scholarship Fund to make these awards possible.
