Chief Executive Officer
As a Glendale resident, Edna has worked in the region for over 26 years with combined experience in marketing and communications and as a non-profit Development Director. Her local affiliations include the former Glendale Symphony Board of Trustees, the Glendale Unified School District Superintendent’s Advisory Council, and as a columnist for PTA news in the Glendale News Press. Edna currently chairs the Glendale Healthier Community Coalition and was named among Business Life Magazine’s Women Achievers for 2012. Julie has been the Foundation’s Controller since 2010 when she came on board to assist with the implementation of an updated financial management software system. Since then, she has continued in her important responsibility with managing the funds under the Foundation’s care as well as providing financials and quarterly fund reports for donors. Julie holds a BS in Accounting from SUNY’s Binghamton University and held CPA licensure in the State of New York where she held senior positions in audit and accounting work. She and her husband reside locally with their three sons – who are avid hockey players as well as hockey fans! For Julie, working with the Foundation has been very enjoyable and rewarding as she sees how the merging of donors and funding to local nonprofits help to make our community a better place for all.
